Privacy Policy

The short version

Your resume content never leaves your device except at the moment you export a PDF, and we don't keep it afterwards. We have no user accounts, no advertising trackers, and no database of personal information.

Resume data stays in your browser

Everything you type into the resume builder is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is not uploaded to our servers as you work, and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser data deletes it permanently.

What happens when you download a PDF

To generate your PDF, your resume content is sent to our server, rendered into a PDF, and returned to you. The content is processed in memory for the duration of the request and is not saved. Our server records a technical log entry for the request (see below) that does not include your resume content.

Technical logs

Like most websites, our server keeps standard technical logs for security and reliability: IP address, browser user-agent, request time, and whether the request succeeded. Logs are rotated automatically and deleted after 14 days. We use them only to operate and debug the service, never for advertising or profiling.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies and embeds no third-party trackers. The resume builder loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when the app loads; Google's privacy policy applies to that request.

Hosting

Our servers are hosted by DigitalOcean. Traffic to and from the site is encrypted with HTTPS.

Your rights

Because we don't hold your resume data, there is nothing for us to export or delete on your behalf. You control it directly in your browser. For questions about the short-lived technical logs, or anything else in this policy, contact us at esd263@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the service handles data, for example by introducing user accounts, we will update this page and its "last updated" date before those changes take effect.
